Join me on what will be a fun and memorable 4-night/3-day fishing trip for nine guests to this private resort in Baja California. You will get to fish in what expert and experienced anglers say provides, “The Best Fishing in the World.” You will have access to blue marlin, black marlin, stripped marlin, sailfish, swordfish, roosterfish, tuna, pargo, Wahoo, Dorado (mahi mahi), sea bass and so many others. Not only will the fishing be outstanding, the accommodations will exceed your expectations. There are 10 air conditioned, king suites, all with private bath (some with Jacuzzi tubs) and all but two have views of the water. Two suites share a kitchen and sitting area with a large screen satellite TV. Four of the suites are in a house with a full kitchen and a large screen satellite TV. The fabulous food prepared by the private chef will satisfy even the most discriminating palate, as you dine al fresco under the palapa and take in the panoramic view of the Sea of Cortez and the Bay of Dreams. There is also a workout facility with free weights and various machines and a lighted tennis court on the property. A masseuse is available for an additional cost of $75 per hour, plus a tip.

Traveling 50 to 100 miles to fish, like in some areas, is not required. Normally we are fishing within a few minutes after leaving the beach. At Rancho de Costa, there are no long walks or drives to the marina. Our fishing boats will pick you up on the beach at the bottom of the staircase at the resort. Because they fish for a living all year in these waters, our captains are ready when you are and they will be on top of where the bite is on any given day. We are big on live bait fishing, but, should you be a fly fisherman, our well-trained captains will make certain that they position the boat properly for that perfect fly cast. The captain will filet your fish at the end of the day. Our on staff chef will prepare your fish the way you like it or, if desired, he can provide a new style recipe as a surprise. Below are the two big boats available for use on this trip. The captains are great fishermen and have a clear interest in providing our guests with the very highest quality fishing day possible on the Sea of Cortez. We want the entire experience on the water to be great, as well as great fishing!

Below are some photos of some available fish and the pangas guests will use when not fishing on the big boat. The pangas are ideal for two anglers.

This is how the fishing days will take place with nine guests. Early breakfast, then three of the guests will fish with me on the big boat and the other six guests will pair up and fish in a panga. The next day, early breakfast, then three other guests will fish with me on the big boat and the other six pair up in the pangas. The last day, after the early breakfast, the final three guests will fish with me on the big boat and the other six pair up in the pangas. If any group on any fishing day wishes to fish for more than six hours, that decision needs to occur the night prior to the fishing day in order to make the necessary arrangements. Additional hours for the pangas is $17.50 per hour per angler. With six anglers, two fish with me on the big boat and four go in the pangas, then the same is repeated with two others on the big boat each of the next two days and the others in pangas. With three anglers, each guest can fish one day with me in a panga and the other two in another panga or we can all go out in the big boat each day.
